Celebes Halfbeak (Nomorhamphus liemi)
Out of stock
Remarks: Celebes Halfbeaks (Nomorhamphus liemi) have very interesting mouth structures. Their lower jaw extends far beyond the end of their upper jaw, giving them a large underbite and sword-like appearance. They are livebearing fish with internal fertilization, much like Swordtails or Mollies. They are found in Indonesian hillstreams with fast flowing water over pebbles and very few plants.
Males are pale pink to bright red, depending on mood and dominance. They have extended black bottom lips that occasionally curl under their mouth. Their fins are pink with black tips on the anal and dorsal fins. Females are gray to pale pink with lightly colored fins.
