(Congochromis sabinae)

Out of stock

Remarks: Congochromis sabinae are a dwarf cichlid from West Africa. They appear similar to some Pelvicachromis spp. however they are usually smaller with more rounded faces. Females have a unique iridescent spot on their bellies, making them very easy to sex when young. They will fight with one another in tight quarters, so ample space and plenty of caves should be provided. Sand is necessary, as these cichlids spend a considerable amount of time digging in the substrate for food and to rearrange their habitat.
