Purple Mosaic Dumbo Ear Guppy (Poecilia reticulata)
Out of stock
Remarks: A perfect starter fish! Guppies (Poecilia reticulata) are peaceful community fish that reproduce with ease. They are livebearers, meaning the females release live fry rather than laying eggs. It is recommended to keep more females than males, as males can easily harass females with relentless attempts to reproduce, leading to stress in the females.
Males with the mosaic pattern usually have a tail pattern made up of spots and thin lines. The males' bodies from this line are usually blue or yellow with their fins being a vibrant violet. Due to the great genetic variation in mosaic guppies, coloration sometimes varies. Females may develop some color in the fins, but typically remain gray in the body. This strain will sometimes have red in the markings, and not just purple.
