Black Moscow Guppy (Poecilia reticulata)
Out of stock
Remarks: A perfect starter fish! Guppies (Poecilia reticulata) are peaceful community fish that reproduce with ease. They are livebearers, meaning the females release live fry rather than laying eggs. It is recommended to keep more females than males, as males can easily harass females with relentless attempts to reproduce, leading to stress in the females.
The Moscow line of guppies originate from Russian breeders but have begun to be bred in the U.S. in recent years. They are known for their large tail fins and rich, dark color that covers the entire body of the males.
Male Black Moscows have nearly pitch black bodies and sometimes have a green metallic sheen. Females may develop some color in the fins, but typically remain gray in the body.
