Emerald Cichlid (Cribroheros robertsoni)

2 In stock

Remarks: Emerald Cichlids (Cribroheros robertsoni) are sand-sifting cichlids that require sand to feed and maintain healthy gills. They are very similar to South American Geophagus sp. in this respect. When mature, they have very bright emerald-green scales over most of their body. They are fairly peaceful as Central Americans go, but their large size (10") still commands respect. When breeding, they can aggressively defend their sand pit, but otherwise they will leave their tankmates alone.
