Remarks: Gold Dust Bichirs (Polypterus palmas buettikoferi) are light yellow in color with a brownish-green mosaic along their backs. As they age, they develop slight gold patterning over their scales, earning them their common name.
Bichirs are ambush predators and will eat anything that can fit in their mouths. Tankmates should be larger and preferably taller-bodied.
