Remarks: Loreto Tetras (Hyphessobrycon loretoensis) are small tetras from Peru with a thick black band in the lower half of their body and bright red tails. This pattern is fairly unique and makes them stand out, even from a distance, despite their small size. They do well in community set-ups and planted tanks with both bright or subdued lighting.
