Remarks: Stomatepia pindu are endemic to Lake Barombi Mbo, Cameroon. This lake is in a crater of a volcano, and it is being impacted by humans through water removal and deforestation. The fish are considered critically endangered as a result of the impacts and their limited range in the wild. These are being bred in our ponds in an effort to keep the species from going extinct.
