Remarks: Similar to Gobies of Southeast Asia (such as Stiphodon) and Goby Cichlids of Lake Tanganyika (Eretmodus), Teleocichla centrarchus "hop" around the substrate, using their pelvic fins as "legs". They have developed this adaptation due to a "life in the fast lane," as they live in strong currents with high oxygen content and warm temperatures.
