Watermelon Tetra (Hemigrammus coeruleus)

Out of stock

Remarks: Watermelon Tetra (Hemigrammus coeruleus) are endemic to the lower Rio Negro river basin in Brazil. When in full breeding dress, these tetra will have a deep red body, with black tips on their fins. These Tetra are fairly rare and hard to find, due to the secrecy of their location. The fish you receive will most likely exhibit their more common silver coloration. However, the red body can show up at any time, especially if the fish is happy, healthy and ready to breed!
