Yellow Head Nkhata Bay (Aulonocara sp.)
Out of stock
Remarks: Aulonocara sp. Yellow Head Nkhata are sometimes called the Chitande Type North Peacock. They are a fairly timid peacock and may not show full color in an all-male tank, but you will be rewarded for keeping females with them. Males are a brilliant dark purple color with black fins, metallic gold egg spots, and a golden head.
They live near Likoma Island and Chizumulu Island, as well as Mara Point. You can find them primarily over sandy bottoms, and you will be well served to decorate the tank with one or two small rock piles but plenty of open sand.
