Remarks: Flagtail Prochilodus (Semaprochilodus taeniurus) are large characins from South America that make great tankmates for larger cichlids such as Severums, Angelfish, and Geophagus. They have shiny, silver bodies with large, pursed lips and a red and black flagtail pattern on their caudal fin. They can be aggressive towards their own kinds, or attempt to pick microorganisms off of weakened fish.
