Remarks: Araguaia Dwarf Acara (Laetacara araguaiae) are small cichlids from Brazil. They are peaceful and extremely colorful, making them a great breeding project or tankmate for other South American dwarves and schooling fish.
Parents will take turns cleaning a piece of slate or rock on the substrate to use as a spawning ground. Pairs can be kept comfortably in a 10 gallon tank, but a 20 gallon or more would be preferable to avoid any aggression during courtship.
